tmpEXO_* folders in Windows temp (100GB+)

Post by Pagrossman »

Our monitoring system detected that all our Veeam proxy servers don't have space on c:
After quick analyse, we detected that all our Veeam proxy servers create tmpEXO folder in c:\windows\temp for every backup job run.

I created service ticket (#06361719).

One proxy has more than 60GB of unknown data in this folder and second server more than 90GB.

Does somebody know why these folders/files are created? Are we able to stop this? (not by schtasks and deleting folder regularly) :)

What version are you on? This is indeed a known problem (at least if it is what I think it is, it is an issue with the EXO powershell module) but that is solved in our latest update if I am not mistaken

Can I delete these data? Does Veeam need this data?
We increased size of disk c: on all servers, but this is irreversible process on MS systems :(

The new version fixed the issue in my lab.
You can safely delete the tmpEXO_ folders.
