Backup Copy to Azure restore to Azure

Post by portmap »

I have Veaam B&R on-prem sending backup copies to Azure, I did a restore to Microsoft Azure from the backup copy repo, for audit purposes I need to prove that the restore was from the Azure repo to Azure, but the logs don't much information. Is there any way to pull a log that would provide clear evidence that the restore happened from Azure to Azure?
I know that I could simply connect the repo to another Veeam server but I wouldn't want to break the existing setup, as when attempting to add the blob to another Veeam server I get an warning that "the selected repository is already registered on backup server XXXXXX. changing the repository ownership to this backup server will make it unnusable on the current one"

Would appreciate some help.

Thanks!

Just to be sure - how are you using Azure Storage? As a standalone object storage repository or as a Capacity Tier? Thanks!

Understood. Can you also clarify the following line:
that the restore happened from Azure to Azure?
Are you trying to confirm that no local data was used during the restore or that restore traffic stayed isolated to Azure?

Thanks!
