Surebackup - Restore

Post by 2Tall »

Hi. If I run a backup against a SQL instance running in a Virtual Lab created by a SureBackup Job how would I access the .bak file to enable me to restore to my production box?
Many Thanks,
Phil.

Hi, not quite sure I understand the scenario. Why would you run a backup against a VM running in the Virtual Lab? And what .bak file are you talking about? Thanks!

Aaaaaah after reading about 10 times i understood what he means :)

He's running a SureBackup job, creating a backup of a SQL instance in his lab and wants now to access the created bak file of the database :)

You can access your bak file within your lab over your Veeam server that is running the lab by using the administrative share for example. Please take a look into this topic Surebackup couple of basic questions. Should clarify your answer.
