Feature Request - Manually set backup set immutability

Post by Skyview »

It would be nice to be able to manually set immutability on backup sets.

For example, we backup a dataset for a customer that resigns a contract with us annually. After every contract renewal it would be nice to set immutability on their existing backup sets for 1 more year.

Hi Skyview

Thanks for your request.
For backups on hardened repositories, you can use a PowerShell cmdlet to extend immutability.

Set-VBRImmutabilityLockExpirationDate

The command doesn't work for backups on object storage.
