M365 Mailbox Attachment

How is the data stored in the Veeam M365 backup, e.g. if an attachment with a size of 2GB is in the mailbox of 10 users.
In Exchange, the attachment is only saved once in the DB. Only a reference link is then saved in the individual mailboxes.

Hi Thomy,

If you're backing up a shared mailbox that is accessible by 10 users, an attachment is downloaded just once. But if there are 10 mailboxes containing the same email with an attachment, the backup has no visibility if the attached file is the same across all mailboxes and it downloads it 10 times.
