Feature Request - Additional Thresholds on Notifications

Post by Skyview »

We typically have 2 different datastores in our environments- 1 smaller (<3TB) SSD datastore for OS and databases, and 1 larger (>20TB) datastore for bulk file archiving.

We often get warnings because there's less than 2TB left on our large datastore, which is a ton of space. But I don't want to lower the threshold because I want to know when there's less than 300GB on our other datastore, so I'm overwhelmed with superfluous alerts.

It would be nice if we had an additional threshold specification for low space notifications. Something like
"Warn me when disk space is below (10)% AND actual free space is below (500)GB"

Hi Skyview,

Thanks for reaching out!
I understand that the current configuration option might not work for uneven datastore configurations. Noted your request.

A possible workaround with Veeam One if you have it deployed:
Veeam One allows you to use a more granular configuration for datastore alarms. You can create alarms per datastore instead of having a global configuration as in Veeam Backup & Replication.

Cheers,
