Restoring files from a different computer

Post by Vertigo »

Hi,

Silly question perhaps but how do I go about restoring files from a different machine?

I have two Windows clients, both backed up with the Windows Agent. When I go to the restore option it only allows me to select restore points for the current machine.
I guess this is logical from a security perspective but how can I restore individual files from an alternate machine? Is there an "admin" option somewhere or do I need to do this from the main Veeam console?

Thanks.

Hello Toby,

Restore options in control panel always open the wizard in a context of current backup job, but you can open the restore wizard from the Start menu and select any backup from any available location when you start the restore from scratch without job context. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
