Adding Azure Proxy Appliance
Hi,
We are planning to restore our on-premises VM backups to Azure.
I tried to add an Azure Proxy Appliance but somehow I cannot see the option to add it in the Veeam Console. Any idea why?
I have already installed the Azure Plugin.
Thanks

Re: Adding Azure Proxy Appliance
Hi, could you clarify what do you see different in the UI comparing to the step by step process explained in the corresponding section of the User Guide? Thanks

Re: Adding Azure Proxy Appliance
I can only see in the UI the following options.
"General-purpose backup proxy"
"VMware backup proxy"
"VMware CDP proxy"
I cannot see "Azure proxy appliance" option.
our VBR is v12 and installed the Azure plugin.
Thanks

Re: Adding Azure Proxy Appliance
Did you perform the steps in the Before You Begin section?
You don't need the Azure plug-in to do restores.
The plug-in is used for backing up Azure workloads.

Re: Adding Azure Proxy Appliance
@Gostev, which "Before You Begin section" are you referring to?
I am looking at this documentation which states that Veeam Backup & Replication servers can use Azure restore proxy appliances to speed up the recovery process.

Re: Adding Azure Proxy Appliance
I referred to the first item of the Configuring Azure Restore Proxy Appliances section following the link I posted.
