Guest file indexing without Enterprise Manager

Hello,

I wonder about advantages of selecting guest file indexing option in backup job settings if I won't use Enterprise Manager.
Based on VBR documentation guest OS file indexing allows to search for files inside VM backups and perform 1-click restore in EM. Guest file index is also used by malware detection process.

Is there any pros or cons to selecting this option in environments without EM and with disabled malware detection?

I'm using it for some specific workload like huge file servers or exchange servers (10TB+) to speed up the process of restore operations (explorer or flr) with the console. The wait could be long without it.
