Re: Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 in-place OS upgrade
Hi,
We are actually testing such scenario's for our upcoming release, as we will need to drop support for 2012 and 2012 R2. I have not yet received the final test results from QA, but from our own testing, it worked perfectly.
(By the way, even in our own testing, we always took a backup from the entire server upfront (which you can do with VBR if it is virtual or the agent if it is physical). Just as a precaution...

Did we ever get official guidance on an in place OS upgrade especially if this was being tested internally. I cannot see anything still in the documentation etc.

Hi,
We just upgraded our VBO 8.1 Win Server 2019 to Win Server 2022 in place upgrade.
No issues, just 1hour/30 min downtime.
Works as expected. Remember to OS updates after OS upgrade.
