[Feature Request] Include repository statistics in the notification e-mails to avoid quota exceeded and failed back-ups

Post by pascalsaul »

Partners are using the Veeam for Cloud Director plug-in to manage their customer back-ups. Within the back-upjob they create they can enable e-mail notifications: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120

Many partners are using this e-mail to monitor if the back-ups are run successfully (or not) since there is no other option for them.

Since the provider adds the repository with a "hard" quota to the organisation it could be possible to run out of quota since this is only visible in the GUI, see https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120. After a back-upjob didn't ran succesfully you do get an e-mail that the back-up failed which could be avoided if they knew they approached the used quota.

Please add in all notification e-mails the repository statistics so a partner got this information and proactivly react on this (buying additional quota, on time).

Something like:
Name;Status:Used;Quota;Percentage Used
Repository 1;OK;31.9 GB;100GB;31.9%
Repository 2;OK;0 GB;100 GB;0.0%

Hello Pascal

Thank you for your request.
Meanwhile as a workaround you could create a script to retrieve used quota and send a mail notification.
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120

<QuotaGb>500</QuotaGb>
<UsedQuotaMb>0</UsedQuotaMb>
