Hi teams,
I naively configured the VBR backup on one of my repositories which is none other than a Dell datadomain.
I tried to do a restore but I don't have the path option in the wizard.
Is it possible to save the VBR configuration on this type of repository ?
Thanks

Re: Backup VBR Configuration on DataDomain
Hi dopamind
Yes, you can store configuration backups to a data domain. Restore also works for me on the server where the data domain was added:

Some limitation you may face:
- MFA enabled users: You must copy the configuration backup manually from the data domain to a temporary folder on your backup server. Direct restore from data domain is not possible.
- SOBR: Cannot be used as a configuration backup target and therefore not be used as a source for the restore
- New backup server: A new backup server doesn't know the data domain. Please copy the configuration backup manually from the data domain to a temporary folder on your backup server and restore from there.
Please contact our customer support team if you still have issues and my answer didn't helped you.
Best,
Fabian

Re: Backup VBR Configuration on DataDomain
Hi Fabian,
thanks for your answer but i can't select Backup repo Datadomain in the drop list, just "This server"
Have you enable CIFS on DD ?
just enable DDBoost a NFS.

Hi dopamind
Strange that windows update solved the issue. But I'm glad it's working now

I only tested as a DDBoost repository. But configuration restore from SMB and NFS repositories also works fine for me.Have you enable CIFS on DD ?
just enable DDBoost a NFS.
