upgrade VBR with HLR sudo or not sudo

Post by matteu »

Hello,

I would like to understand better what are the migration path where I need to temporary add the user account as sudo to the HLR and where I don't need please because I think I missunderstand something.

Today I did 11 -> 12.1 and I need to enter the credential.

I probably missunderstand something because I would think when upgrade to 12.1 it's not anymore needed...
Is it possible to list all the migration path where it's needed and where it's not please ?

Thanks

Hello Matteu

Our deployment service for "updating hardened repositories without SSH" was introduced in version 12.
Therefore updating from v11 SSH will be required:

- 11.* to 12.0.* --> SSH required
- 11.* to 12.1.1.56 --> SSH required

Unfortunately SSH was again required when upgrading V12 to V12.1 GA. But we solved that with the first patch (v12.1.1.56).
- 12.0 to 12.1 GA --> SSH required
- 12.0.* to 12.1.1.56 --> SSH not required
- 12.1 GA to 12.1.1.56 --> SSH not required

Best.
