Upgrading backup chain 20 days! and more

Anyone faced any issues related to upgrading backup chain index taking long time and nerver completing, infact it is failing after some point.

I have noticed that after the upgrade from v11 to v 12 the off loading of backups from performance tier to the capacity tier Azure stopped saying " upgrading index of backup chain" and this is not happening or completing for more than 20 days hence I see a huge backups filling up in performance tier.

This is not happening on all the backups but for the servers with around 10TB of size, as per the veeam I need to leave as it is , if I calculate one month for one backup file indexing , this indexing will complete in one year ! ... The upgrade has caused many other issues as well and the ticket was raised 2 weeks ago.

Please do not do cross posting of the same issue in other topics.

I can see that the case was escalated and next plan is to have a remote session with our support engineer.
Let's continue within in the case. If necessary RnD will be involved by our support engineers.
