View Contents of Veeam Azure Blob Storage

Post by ray.holtz »

We have Veeam B&R 12 backing up locally, and then copying to an Azure Blob via Scale-Out Repository. We have had more than a couple different jobs over the years offloading to the same storage account. I'm trying to look into the Blob Storage Container and see what all the backups are in there, from what backup jobs, from what VMs/Servers, from what dates, etc.

Looking in the container itself in the Azure Portal, I see lots of folders with long hashes as names, and under one sub-sub-sub folder I can see the Veeam Backup Job name, but I can't see what VMs/Servers are there, with a good idea of what dates the backups are from.

Is there a way in Veeam to view the contents of the Azure Blob Repository and view this information?
Thanks All!

Hello Ray

Unfortunately not. You require a Veeam backup server to view the content of your Azure Blob repository.
The structure is documented here, but it won't help you to identity Restore Points and VMs on Azure Blob:
