Change backup service certificate when service cannot start

Post by Rmachado »

Hello.

I did a mistake to change the backup service certificate to a certificate that it says that it dont have a private key (but it does have...). Now the service dont start anymore and because of that, i cant change the certificate by the gui.

Is there any other way to change that ? I can see the certificate in the config.edb view, but i dont have a tool to change that.

So, im looking for a way to change to another certificate or rollback to the previous one

Error: It is likely that certificate 'CN=XXXXXXX' may not have a private key that is capable of key exchange or the process may not have access rights for the private key. Please see inner exception for detail.

Support case : # 07195045

Thank you.

Hi Rmachado

Unfortunately it doesn't look like we have an alternative method (command line) to install service certificates.
I suggest to keep working with support. We cannot provide support over this forum, especially not for manipulating data inside the config.edb. This can only be done under guidance of our support team.
You can use our Talk To Manager option to escalate the case if required: https://www.veeam.com/kb2320

If you have a backup (VM, Agent) of your VB365 server, you may have to consider to do a restore of the VB365 application.
