RMAN Pluging for Redhat9

Post by fjf »

Hello,

We're running Veeam Backup & Restore version 12.
We use the RMAN plugin to backup all Oracle databases currently running on Redhat 7 & 8
In the process of upgrading to Redhat9, we discovered that the RMAN plugin is not working and not yet supported for RH9

When is it expected to be supported/released?

Thank you

Strange as Oracle Linux 9 is supported, which is kind of the same.

I think this is just a documentation issue. Let me figure out.

Thank you.
I'm curious to hear more, as on the support desk they did not know.

I checked and the table is correct for now. The image level oracle backup supports it already, but the plug-in does not.
Please give me some days to investigate and find out the timeline.

Hi

Do you maybe already have found any information about this subject.
Some projects are stalling because of a missing backup plugin

Thank you

Hello,

We already added RHEL 9 to our testing plan but we cannot confirm the official support before all the scenarios are successfully validated by our quality control engineers. I think we'll complete all the required tasks soon, stay tuned.

Thanks!
