Automating Backup Management: Moving Older Backups Automatically

Hello everyone,

I am searching for an option to automatically move backups once they reach a certain age.

We back up a large number of virtual machines and execute numerous backup jobs. Our objective is to automatically move all backups older than 6 months to a different storage location.

So far, I haven't found a way to select all 89 backup jobs at once and specify: "Please export all backups older than 6 months to Hard Drive Z", without having to individually select each backup job and execute "Export Backup...".

I can only create an archive repository for SMB share files, but not for virtual machines? Why is that the case?

Hello,
the "move" functionality exists within the "scale out backup repository" in "move" mode. Object storage is required for that.
