Hi
Our tape library seems to have an issue with the automatic cleaning of the tape drives (issue addressed with the vendor of the tape library).
But Veeam has a message that does not make much sense! The alert message about the cleaning of a drive does not name the drive but the volume serial of the tape. Why?
Please give me the name of the tape drive that needs cleaning and not the tape occupying the drive at the moment!
Message in question:
TapeDrive alert: [$volser] The tape drive is due for routine cleaning:. Wait for the current operation to finish. Then use a cleaning cartridge. Check the tape drive user manual for device specific cleaning instructions.
Improved Message:
TapeDrive alert: The tape drive [$drive_name] is due for routine cleaning:. Wait for the current operation to finish. Then use a cleaning cartridge. Check the tape drive user manual for device specific cleaning instructions.
Would this be possible? Thanks!

Re: [Feature Request] - output tape name instead of volume serial in cleaning message
Hi Christian.
Sounds like an absolutely valid request. I will raise it with the team.
Thanks!
