Malware Detection Failed

Post by perjonsson1960 »

Folks,

Case #07224707

My text from the case:

Every night I get an email from B&R saying that "Action completed with error". And when I look at the details in the History pane, I see these kind of errors:

2024-04-16 01:38:01 Failed [2024-04-16 00:01:39] Failed to analyze guest index Error: Failed to unzip file 'C:\VBRCatalog\Index\Machines\NT199A.dir1.local\2024_0415.2201.d7c1ad1083cc4611acd0862f5ab5a620\internal\src\GuestIndexData.zip' to folder 'C:\VBRCatalog\Index\Machines\NT199A.dir1.local\2024_0415.2201.d7c1ad1083cc4611acd0862f5ab5a620\internal\src'

This refers to our physical failover fileserver cluster NT199. Sometimes the error refers to the cluster node named NT199A, and sometimes to the other node named NT199B, but never both. When I look in the folder in the backup server, the zip file is there, and the files in the zip file are also in the folder, so I seems that the zip file is being unzipped, and yet the error occurs. Perhaps the problem has something to do with the fact that this is a cluster with two physical machines? Is the Malware Detection working despite this error?

Edit: We run B&R version 12.1.1.56

Kind regards,
PJ

Hi Per,

Thanks for the post and for sharing the case number.

Let's allow the Support Team a bit of time to dive into the logs here, but to answer your questions, the Inline Malware Scan would work regardless of this, but I suppose this is more of an issue with the Guest Index Scanning. I'm not aware that there are any particulars with a cluster setup like this and the GuestIndex scanning, but let's see what the logs tell us.
