Hello!
We are running SPARC servers (Solaris 11.4 SRU 56 with Agent 4.1.1.1423) with two mirrored local disks. We are doing filesystem level backups of the global zone rpool that lives on these local disks.
However, the servers also have dozens of SAN LUNs each. These LUNs are passed into kernel zones. The Agent running on the global zone inspects all SAN LUNs and issues hundreds of error messages before eventually giving up. It should not scan these LUNs in the first place. How can I restrict device scanning to a subset of the devices visible on the system?
Example: The rpool lives on devices c0t5000C500xxxd0 and c0t5000C500yyyd0. The SAN LUNs are on c0t6 (a different vhci multipathing instance). How can I prevent devices on c0t6 from being scanned?
Thanks!

Re: [SOLARIS] Restrict scanning to a disk subset?
Hello VAB,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We acknowledge that there is currently no option in VAOS to "exclude" SAN LUN disks.
