Dear All,
I have the tape loader with LTO7 & LTO8 drive, and my media pool has the LTO7 & LTO8 tape,(parelelle )
I found I will get the backup to tape fail if the veeam move the lto8 tape to the LTO7 drive, and the veeam will not try to move it to other drive.
How could I handle the situation.

Re: Tape Drive selecting for the Veeam
Hi Vanness,
Unfortunately such a configuration is unsupported:
> Within a library partition, only one generation of LTO drives or IBM 3592 drives is supported.
To be supported, you would either need to remove one of the drives from the partition so that only one LTO generation is accessible to the Tape Server, or if your tape hardware supports library partitioning, create two partitions, one for each LTO generation, and add both to Veeam. You can add multiple libraries to a media pool, and Veeam will not be able to "cross-load" in such a configuration as long as you are keeping the correct tapes in each partition.
