Clarification needed for New-VBRHealthCheckOptions
Helpcenter link: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
There is a switch to enable full healthcheck. "EnableFullHealthCheck"
I guess the default is a kind of "light" healthcheck, but what is the difference?

Re: Clarification needed for New-VBRHealthCheckOptions
Hi Danny,
Had to look this one up too, it's a feature for Agents stored on Object Storage:
Basically, if your Veeam Agent jobs point to an Object Storage repository, these parameters affect this option in the UI:

Notice there's an extra option there compared to jobs targeting a non-object storage repository.
Edit: This is documented here in the Veeam Agent Management User Guide.

So it's about whether you're checking the actual contents of the backup file, or just verifying that everything is where it should be on the Object Storage repository. Also for agent backup on object storage (VAW, VAL etc.) Health Check (HC) Lite could be used. Differences between Full and Light HC are:
- Full HC checks last restore point and verifies content of backup files/blocks
- Lite HC checks existence of all backup files/blocks only. It won't check content itself

Hi David,
Just to check if I understand you correctly.
The switch "EnableFullHealthCheck" is only used for "AGENT" backups stored on S3.
It doesn't apply to VM's on S3?

Hi Danny,
Correct, this applies only to Agents targeting S3 targets specifically at this time.
