Veeam Agent for Oracle Linux 9.4

Hi community,

a colleague installed some Oracle Linux 9 machines and wanted them to be added into the backup.
As i tried to auto install them via vbr server it failed with no package kernel-uek-devel-5.15.0.208.159.3.el9uek.x86_64 available.

From uname -r it showed up as 5.15.0.208.159.3.el9uek.x86_64.

Am I wrong or is this version currently not supported for the veeam agent? I found "Oracle Linux 9 (up to 5.15.0-200.131.27.el9uek)" as latest, as it seems.

And if so, is there a way to get it running somehow?

Hello,

kernel-uek-devel is requirement software before installing/deploying VAL into machine, as stated in the User Guide: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... vel&ver=60
You will need to make sure that kernel-uek-devel is installed with matching version.

when I have a look at the KBs that are linked to the article, I don't find anything for 5.15.0.208.159.3 listed anywhe. So for me, as a guy without Oracle Linux knowledge, from the article, it's not realy clear if 5.15.0.208.159.3 is supported and/or how to get the package.

The KB regarding kernel version support is periodically updated, but not immediately upon the release of a new kernel version. As a result, delays in updating the KB may occur.
Regarding your situation please try install kernel-uek-devel-5.15.0.208.159.3.el9uek.x86_64 on the machine and deploy VAL (standalone or managed by VBR server).
