Question on a disaster scenario

Post by FrenchBlue »

Hello,

I have a precise question: let's suppose we have a SOBR with a performance tier like a VM with disk, and a capacity tier in cloud object storage.
In a scenario where we would lose almost everything, including the performance tier, and only have the capacity tier left, is it still possible to import the capacity tier repository in a fresh VBR install and do restores from there, although it was part of a SOBR before?

Thanks.

Hi FrenchBlue

Yes, possible.
Set up a new backup server, connect to the bucket and import your backups:

Or deploy a new backup server and restore from a configuration backup.
