We are using AppVolumes in a Horizon View environment to deploy applications for users. We have spent A LOT of time building 30-40 apps for the environment, so I’d really like to back these up besides the built in datastore replication.
Is there a way I can do this in Veeam when the files are a) not attached to a VM, and b) include other files with config and metadata details besides the VMDKs?
Thanks for any ideas people may have!

Re: Backup unattached files in a data store
Thought it through and I think I have a fix for this...
I'll run a scheduled File Copy Job from the packages folder on the datastore via an ESXi host and set the destination to a VM that lives on a different SAN and is already backed up and offsite copied by a different job. That way I can get copies of the package VMDKs and their needed config files, replication to a different SAN for onsite redundancy, retention of the backed up data, and an offsite copy just in case.
