Hey everyone,
I want to know if it is possible to have a VBR server in Azure with a private IP only, and configure cloud machine backups (the VMs are in a different vNet with no peering connection).
Taking a look at the documentation, I see that I need connection to Azure through the following endpoints:
443
management.core.windows.net
xxx.blob.core.windows.net
xxx.queue.core.windows.net
core.windows.net
Is it possible to access these through private endpoints? Or is internet internet access mandatory?
Thanks!

Re: VBR server in Azure using only private IP
Hi 479er,
If I understand correctly you mean functionality related to Cloud machines protection group. In this case, Veeam B&R server doesn't require a direct network connection to your VMs in Azure, but the following conditions should be met:
- Veeam B&R server should have access to the global region endpoints
- VMs in Azure should have access to the same global endpoints
If in your private network settings you have the correct setup for these endpoints, everything should work as expected.
Thank you!

Re: VBR server in Azure using only private IP
Hi marina.skobeleva,
Thanks for your reply! I understand the VMs should have access to the same global endpoints as VBR, but the backup traffic goes through the internet, is that correct? I would like to know if it is possible to configure a service endpoint to the storage account, that way the backup traffic goes through Azure's backbone network.
