Feature request: Enable logs backup/PITR restore on AWS RDS

Hi all,

We'd like to insert a new feature request in order to be able to backup the AWS RDS logs and to do the PITR restore.

The same is also needed for Azure SQL.

Can you clarify which RDS flavors or are you talking about MSSQL only?

I'm talking about all RDS flavors are available and supported by Veeam and also Azure SQL.
I've an enterprise customer that is requiring this.

We will consider your feature request for future releases but for now, I can't provide an ETA as some of these have limitations on how to access the logs.

No update. This is still on our longer roadmap.

I second this request for PITR SQL backups-- in our case, GCP CloudSQL. We use the Veeam appliance for Compute, but not for CloudSQL. Veeam's lack of support for PITR with GCP CloudSQL is literally the only reason we go with a different backup service for our 112 CloudSQL instances.

I've a customer that is moving its 60 AWS RDS DBs protection from VBAWS to another backup service, just for the very same reason.
