Hello,
I created a recovery USB Stick ( https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120 )
But the UEFI Boot does not show the usb stick, so I can not choose to boot from it.
Booting from MS Windows 11 Pro USB Stick, created on https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/softwar ... /windows11
works well. The UEFI shows the USB Stick and I can boot from it.
I also created a recovery USB Stick on a differnt USB Stick. No improvement.
My Workstation is: Dell Precision Workstation 5820 with Windows 11 Pro.
We have Veeam Backup & Replication, V. 11 installed on the windows server 2016.
Greetings

Re: Recovery USB Stick won´t show up, so no USB booting possible
Hi Martin, welcome to the forums.
I would double-check on the UEFI side for things like Secure Boot or other items which might be preventing the UEFI from detecting it. The Recovery Media is based on Windows Recovery Environment, so that should give you some key words to focus on when searching. For example, a quick search (dell.com community forums) shows that the Precision workstations may have a few extra steps to allow such boots.
If you aren't able to make progress, then open a Support Case and allow Veeam Support to review the situation. They can check and confirm that the Recovery Media was made correctly, but please do keep in mind that the same conclusion may be reached, but let's wait for the result of your checks and Support's review, cause based on your information and some quick searching, sounds like it's related to the UEFI settings on the workstation, but it's best to review and confirm.
Thanks!

Re: Recovery USB Stick won´t show up, so no USB booting possible
Hallo, I have formatted USB Stick to FAT32 and created the recovery file again on it. After I changed from UEFI Secure Boot to Legacy insecure mode. The USB Stick shows up, so I selected it for booting. After that I get an error telling me that it can not find an OS. I am supposed to unplug any devices and reboot.
