Veeam O365 Restore Portal - Azure App doesn't have required permissions

I've currently setup a veeam O365 server and put the restore portal and API on another server. Everything that you would expect to work, works in terms of communication between servers, adding the application in Entra ID etc. The issue i have is that when i go to the self service portal, login with an account which has restore operator privileges, I get the following error:

Unable to connect to the resource. Azure AD application doesn’t have the required permissions.

Everything on the O365 server itself for each organization is working as expected and backing up successfully.

I've gone through the veeam document and the registered application which is being used has the same rights. I don't know where to go from this. I have worked with veeam support which i feel we are going around in circles. I feel there is something i haven't ticked or a permission somewhere i haven't set.

If anyone else has had the same problem, I've tried even the most basic troubleshooting by enabling the restore portal on the same server, setup exactly the same way, certs all match and same error. Nothing in the logs seem to point to anything glaring and has the same error about the app not having the right permissions.

Hello Stephen

I apologize for the late answer.
According to the case notes, investigation is still going on.

I assume you have tested the local restore portal directly on the backup server? Just to be sure that the application and certificate works there?
