Linux Agent backup fails with :: Exception from server: Reconnectable protocol device was closed.
I am backing up about 18Tb from a Linux server running the Linux agent managed by Veeam B&R. Data is on ZFS, being backed up with file level backup and "backup directly from live filesystem" checked. I also have 4MB selected under storage optimization since that was mentioned in a forum post as a solution to this problem. Anyhow, the job runs till about 70% then fails with the error:

9/5/2024 12:20:54 AM :: Failed to perform managed backup
9/5/2024 12:20:54 AM :: Timed out to wait until the size of mount cache will be less than threshold
9/5/2024 12:20:54 AM :: Agent failed to process method {FileBackup.SyncDirs}.
9/5/2024 12:20:54 AM :: Exception from server: Reconnectable protocol device was closed.

I don't think we can effectively troubleshoot this issue through forum posts without analyzing debug logs and having the possibility to organize a remote session. It would be best to continue working with your support engineer. I am confident they will be able to determine the root cause.

Did the issue start after VBR upgrade to 12.2?

I haven't updated to 12.2 yet, the update came out a day after I installed 12.1 and I hadn't actually noticed there was an update available.

What I have done for now pending my support ticket is split the job into several smaller jobs, so far that seems to be working but isn't ideal.
