VeeamZip physical server?

Post by Tutek »

Hi,
how could I do active full backup copy of the physical windows server but I don't want to create additional backup in backup chain, but to have separate file that I could export to usb storage and keep outside veeam?
If I click in Inventory my physical server, I have only quick backup, there is not here VeeamZip?

Thanks.

Hi Wojciech,

Would Export Backup work for you? Export Backup will make a stand-alone VBK from a selected restore point that you can basically do as you see fit with.

But this allows me to choose from the past backups only, and what I want to export from "now" state of this server.

Understood -- right now there is not a VeeamZIP functionality like you're requesting -- I would suggest that Export Backup (potentially in combination with Quick Backup), you can have a "now" state of the machine exported to a Full backup, or from the most recent point.
