6.0 upgrade: Value cannot be null

Post by Coldfirex »

Howdy,

Has anyone upgraded to v6 (part of 12.2) and had all of their AHV backups fail?

We are getting this on all backup jobs: Additional Details: : Value cannot be null. (Parameter 'Value cannot be null. (Parameter 'arguments')')

We have a case open already btw (Case #07420034).

Thanks

The issue may appear if your cluster does not have "iSCSI Data Services IP" configured. The error message definitely must be improved :)

It looks like we don't have that (and never did). If we dont use iscsi within our Nutanix environment is it really required?

It is required to correctly work with Nutanix AHV as well as cluster IP address.

https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbahv ... html?ver=6
"An IP address of the cluster and the iSCSI Data Service must be configured in Nutanix AHV cluster settings. For more information, see Nutanix documentation."

Some AOS versions do not allow to mount volume groups via iSCSI if cluster does not have iSCSI address, other AOS versions work ineffective and may cause CVM overload when you don't have iSCSI IP configured.
