Veeam Linux Agent md raid or BTRFS RAID support?

Post by nixcamic »

From the manual:
The supported file system (except for BTRFS) can reside on a simple volume or LVM2 volume
Are mdadm software RAID volumes supported? Say an XFS volume on mdadm RAID 5? How about volumes provisioned through Stratis?
BTRFS is supported only if it resides directly on a physical device with no additional abstraction layers
Does veeam support BTRFS' built in RAID? If I have say a BTRFS RAID10 pool will I be fine? The reason I ask is it says "A physical device" wheras a BTRFS pool lies on multiple physical devices.

Hi,

Yes, mdadm software RAID is supported.

As for BTRFS RAID 10 - let me check internally on the support status of that config.

Thanks!

UPDATE:

btrfs-based RAID 10 is supported, but you cannot place snapshot storage onto such volumes.

Thanks!
