Can someone elaborate on the below document? it says "Veeam Backup & Replication supports the following Always On Availability Groups: Always On Availability Groups based on the Windows Server Failover Cluster"
and below that it says "Veeam Backup & Replication does not support Always On Availability Groups based on SQL Server Failover Cluster Instances."
All my research in to setting up AG's suggest they use WSFC so I cant really figure out what they are distinguishing with this comment.

Re: Always on Availability Groups Clarification
Hello,
An example of a SQL Server Failover Cluster instance is described on this page. I believe we should consider enhancing our documentation, possibly by including diagrams, to prevent any potential confusion.
Thanks!

Re: Always on Availability Groups Clarification
Yeah I think the terminology "Always On Availability Group" is incorrect here as a failover cluster is just an "Always On Failover Cluster" and not Availability Group. Can you confirm then that Always On Availability Groups are not supported?

Re: Always on Availability Groups Clarification
Hello,
The terminology is correct, and we support availability groups: you may have a look at the diagram on this page. I will work with the technical writers to make it more clear in our user guide, probably we'll add some diagrams to illustrate the key differences.
Thanks!
