OneDrive Folder Exclusion
Hello together,
any plans to be able to exclude folders from OneDrive for M365 Backup?
If not, could this be a feature request for further versions?

Re: OneDrive Folder Exclusion
Hi Dieter
You can already exclude folders from a OneDrive Backup.
It's not a UI option, but PowerShell provides you an exclude parameter:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo36 ... tml?ver=80

Best,
Fabian

Re: OneDrive Folder Exclusion
Hi Fabian,
great answer, I loved it...
On this topic another question: I deleted the whole OneDrive data from one user from Repository with the following command (an it was succesfull):
Remove-VBOEntityData -Repository $repository -User $user -OneDrive
But in OS on repo I don't see file "repository.adb" shrinked in size. Is this a normal behaviour.
We need to shrink the size of the volume. Do I need to use a new volume as repo?

Re: OneDrive Folder Exclusion
Hi Dieter,
.ADB databases do not shrink in size after data deletion. Instead, the space inside a database is freed up and can be reused for future backups.
Thanks

[Merged][Feature Request] Set exclusions based on file extensions
I need to be able to exclude certain file extensions in my MS365 One Drive backup job. Users are writing *.pst file (very large) to their one drive. These exclusions would do wonders for storage and bandwidth preservation.

Re: OneDrive Folder Exclusion
Hi rhyn, welcome to the forums.
I've moved your post to a topic that better matches.
Request is understood; for now, you can exclude folders, not individual extensions. See if it's feasible to utilize the folder exclusions (request the PST files be placed in a dedicated folder) to save on storage / bandwidth.
