Object that can be backed up with Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure

Post by albertwt »

Hi All,

Would it be possible to get the VeeamONE report of any supported Azure objects that can be backed up with Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure ?

My goal here is to know which objects that can be backed up with Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure but are not.

Thank you

Hello albertwt,

Currently, Veeam ONE Protected Cloud Instances report shows protected by Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure objects. That is includes Virtual Machines, SQL databases and Files.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure can protect additional objects like Cosmos DB accounts or virtual network configurations. We are planning to support additional objects in the Veeam ONE reports and alarms in the next releases.

Thanks

Roman,

Thank you for the reply.

Would it be possible to get the objects that are not protected but can be protected by the Veeam Agent ?

Hello albertwt,

I wouldn't expect this data in the Protected Cloud Instances due to the nature of agent backups and their backup session data. Are you interested in something specific or just computer and file backups?

Thanks

Hi Roman,

I am interested in finding out which workloads or data within my Azure platform is eligible for protection using any of the Veeam products currently available.

It would be really helpful if there is a report that can be generated to provide this information.
