We are running v7.1.0.2031 of Veeam 365 using JET-based backup repository.
(We are planning to move to object storage when upgrading to v8).
One of our customers question the cost for the backup storage which has reached 3TB.
Their used storage in 365 is about 700GB and they have 365 day retention.
Is there anyway to get information on what data is consuming storage?
If it is Exchange, OneDrive or a specifik user.
All I found out so far is that it is the adb-file for 2022 that is exceptionally large with 2TB.

Re: Analysing jet-based storage
Hello Joakim
Unfortunately we cannot track backup sizes per source type or single object. Therefore it's not possible to get an estimation out of Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365.
I suggest to analyze their M365 tenant and how data is distributed through the different services (SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Teams).
This will give you a picture from where the customer can expect the largest backups.
Especially if it's Exchange, then the backup storage could have grown because of this known issue:
https://www.veeam.com/kb4483
We had customers who had to download high numbers of GB because of the described situation in the KB.
I suggest to wait for the new migration method which allows you to keep backup jobs running while doing the migration of your customers backup to object storage.
Best,
Fabian

Please note, the optimized migration from jet database to object storage is not yet available in 8.0. It will be delivered in an upcoming patch (scheduled for this year).(We are planning to move to object storage when upgrading to v8).
