Migrating VM's to new DC

Post by TDG »

Hi I need to migrate VMW VM's to DC1 to DC2. Using VMW migrator seems slow but using Veeam replica seems fast. What's the best way & steps for this pls
Once a VM goes across it will live on DC2. Appreciate any advise

I can see Failover now, Planned failover after replication in Replicas >> Ready. If I select failover now will this sync changes from source vm to destination vm and make destination vm active ?
(And shutting down source vm)

Planned failover coupled with permanent failover is the way to go here. Thanks!
