Hardened Repository over gateway

Hello,
due security we cannot use repository with direct access to customer VMs in case that application aware processing is enabled. So we are using NFS repository.
Would be option to use repository with direct attached storage(hardened) with backup gateway like currently object storage is using?

Hello, it's unclear what are you asking here. Application-aware processing is completely perpendicular to backup repositories interaction, there's no connection between the two.

I guess Marcel wants to tell us, that he cannot use Cloud Connect (because it does not support transaction log backup), which would solve the problem.

Right now there is no "generic block storage gateway" for the use-case you have. Cloud Connect is the "closest available option".

could connect cannot be use because cloud gateways does not support direct backup of backup jobs with application aware processing - activated transaction logs like for sql, oracle are not supported - as you wrote ....
so from our security we cannot allow direct connection from repository to customer VMs
using obejct object storage is an option, but is slow for us
like in case of hana plugin or MS-SQL with AAP
so solution like object storage - repository with backup gateways, we would like to have another solution like hardened repository with backup gateways - because currently we are using nfs repository and we cannot use immutability and fast cloning
customer will be able to reach backup gateway, but not directly hardened repository.
currently by SQL, Oracle restore requires access to repository from guest VM, same for plugin
