PostgreSQL change parameters

Post by evandrosp »

Hi There,
I would like to know if it is possible to change on VEEAM the file that Veeam uses to fetch the PostgreSQL database configurations, such as 'postgresql.conf' to 'postgresql.auto.conf', I really need to set on Veeam to use a config file that has a diferente name.

Also, where can I configure the path to where Veeam will save the logs from backups?
Additionally, is there a link or manual where I can check the parameters I can change at '/etc/veeam/VeeamPostgreSQLAgent.xml'?"

For exemple;
set log files path to = /dev/log
Exclude database = "dabatase1, database2"

Thanks

Hi Evandro,

1. It's not possible to change 'postgresql.conf' to 'postgresql.auto.conf', but I noted your request

2. The temporary storage location for the archive logs can be specified in the "Path to stage log backups at" field in this wizard step (refer to the screenshot at the bottom of the page)

3. Some examples of configuration parameters for VeeamPostgreSQLAgent.xml are described on the same page

Thanks!

Thanks PetrM,

Just about item 2, sorry for the misunderstanding in my previous explanation.
I am referring to the logs from Veeam (not postgres LOG from database), specifically the logs that contain information about the tasks or jobs we are running.
Currently, the logs are being saved in /tmp/PostgresAgent.log. We have some standardization regarding where to save backup logs so if possible I wanna change the location.

Thanks in advance
