I'm in the process of encrypting backup jobs which runs a full backup upon the first or next run therefore I'd like to have them start this on the next normally scheduled full backup over the weekend. So as to not use disk space creating additional full backups.
Is there anyway to have the encryption setting go in effect Sat/Sun.
There is no method I'm aware of but was wondering If I could include this in a backup config and have that config scheduled to load over the weekend??

Re: Can a config change be scheduled
Hello Scott,
The job will run an active full in the next job session if you enable encryption.
I see two options:
- You can manually change the setting on Saturday morning.
- Or, you can script enabling encryption with PowerShell: Set-VBRJobAdvancedStorageOptions.
Best regards,
Fabian
