Updated our Instance to 12.2 to test the Proxmox integration and got stopped dead in its tracks.
Why is Proxmox locked behind VUL?
We have absolutly ZERO intentions of paying tripple for our backups just to get proxmox support.
When can we expect for proxmox to be supported by socket licencing?
I don't have to remind you what happend the last time veeam announced socket licencing will be gone...

Re: Proxmox licencing
Actually, socket licensing *is* gone. VUL is the only licensing Veeam has available for sale for a few years now.
Existing customers can renew their Socket licenses and continue using its existing capabilities, but no new workloads are supported by it. For example, Nutanix AHV required VUL since its inception 5 years ago, and so do RHV, OLVM and now Proxmox hypervisors. As well as all about a dozen other new workloads added in the last 5 years. As you can see, Socket licenses are definitely a history.

Re: Proxmox licencing
i'm sorry to correct you Gostev.
Veeam tried to cancel socket licences completly and tried to force existing socket customers to migrate which didn't work so well did it
but yeah. then another customer lost completly due to this bs licencing even if they have a running support contract.

Not sure what is your correction? What I said above are pure facts.
