Hello Guys,
We are currently migrating from vmware to Hyper-V. Hyper-V Backup is already running with test VMs on the Hyper-V clusters. Now the question arises, what are the advantages of using the paid SCVMM instead of windows admin center? For example, is it possible to backup VM's by tags without SCVMM only with the windows admin center, as in vmware? Could you list me all advantages if possible?
Thanks and best regards

Tagging is a SCVMM feature, so you need SCVMM for it.

We went from SCVMM with using tags to using Admin Center and VMGroups for populating the backup jobs.
It was a breeze with SCVMM, using VMGroups is an absolute pain. Especially keeping the VMGroups uptodate when removing or adding a VM on the platform.
SCVMM also is great for cluster and VM management, you can see all clusters and VM's in 1 overview, as Admin Center only shows 1 cluster (with it's VM's) at a time. Also for deployment Admin Center is a nightmare
