Hi All,

Is there an egress cost when backing up Microsoft 365 data to Wasabi Cloud or Amazon S3 bucket using Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365?
Is there an estimation for storage or transfer of Terabytes of data?

Hi Albert,

There are no egress costs for Microsoft 365 besides Teams Chats through the Teams Export API.
The prices per Teams message are listed in Microsoft's help center: Microsoft Licensing for Microsoft Graph APIs. Veeam is using model b.

Wasabi has no egress or API costs as of today, and you can verify this information directly from the Wasabi homepage.

Amazon as a backup target will come with API and egress costs. The cost depends on several factors, such as:

- Enabled immutability (API calls for extending the immutability of backup objects)
- How much data you restore (API and egress costs)
- How much data you protect from your Microsoft 365 tenant (API costs)
