I am continuing my testing of Proxmox agent with Veeam and ran into an interesting (to me anyway),
oddity. This is a Windows VM that I have on Nutanix that I back up. When I restore with Veeam to Proxmox,
the backup works as expected but inside of WIndows the networking is a bit odd. Obviously since the underlying
virtual system is different it must adjust the device settings. What is strange is the driver listed for the VM is
'Nutanix virtio driver'. So Proxmox can run with this driver,so I suspect it is more or less the same as the one that you
can use from RedHat. I deleted the network adapter, attached the recommended ISO from Proxmox and installed the
driver which now says it's 'Redhat virtio driver'. No idea which one is better or if they are the same.

Re: Restore VM from Nutanix backup to Proxmox results in odd network adapter.
Hi,
Although the virtio drivers are somewhat compatible, they are not identical, so you should use drivers tailored for the specific hypervisor.
We will take a look whether we can implement an automatic driver injection in the next releases.
Thanks!
