I have a backup job that performs a monthly backup of servers in 2 locations to a cloud share. One of the locations successfully backs up fine, but the other location fails every time with an error. The local daily backup performs flawlessly.
Error: Failed to get volume mount point. File name: \\cloudshare\share. The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007B)
I can browse the share from the servers without an issue, reentered the credentials in the backup job, recreated the backup jobs, time between servers is correct, HOSTs files are the same, and rebooted the servers.
Any ideas?

Clearly there's some issue with the cloud storage you're using.
Please note that we specifically don't recommend using 3rd party cloud storage gateways for reliability issues in particular. And here it seems like double trouble with the interface to your cloud storage being SMB, which is not recommended even for on-prem backup targets due to its reliability.
You should really consider using native cloud object storage backup capabilities.
