W10 vs W11

Post by WalterT »

Hi there,

seems that a recovery boot partition created with v5 and W10 cannot boot a PC with W11. Under W10 it works fine in the past, but with W11 it boots directly to a cmd window and not into recovery environment.

I made a new recovery partition with v6 and was able to boot into recovery environment, but I couldnt find and read my backup image because it is situated on a hard disk 4TB. I had to copy it to a hard disk 2TB and it seems to work.

Hello WalterT,

Recovery media is version depended since it's built on top of Windows Recovery Environment, so I'd recommend to rebuild your recovery media or create a separate one just for Windows 11.

Additionally, please update to the latest v6. v5 is EOL and we do not provide patches and security fixes for this version. Thank you!
