Veeam Storage Infrastructure shows not existed snapshots
Hi All.
I have Veeam Backup&Replication 12. When checking Storage Infrastructure and mapped NetApp Storage, can see not existing anymore snapshots, from the time of old Veeam Backup Proxy server. These snapshots are not on NetApp itself, and I cannot delete them from Veeam.
Receiving warning: Snapshot [....2024-10-04_1605] has already been removed. Snapshot itself when open shows no attached/related machines.
If I do not see the snapshot itself on NetApp, I am not sure if the visibility in Veeam, not ghost-blocking/consuming somehow netapp space. Tried to Edit connected in Veeam clusters, but it changes nothing. Almost all goes smooth and with no errors, but this is not disappearing. Tried Edit cluster, to refresh - no changes.
Backups itself works all good between Veeam and Netapp. Just some old server leftovers visible.
How can I get rid of it?

Re: Veeam Storage Infrastructure shows not existed snapshots
Hi Konrad,
Sorry to hear about the challenge here, the behavior is not expected that we'd have such "phantom" snapshots.
Please open a Support Case as is noted when creating a topic and allow Veeam Support time to review the behavior. Be sure to include logs for Support to review. (Use the 3rd radio button to select hosts, and select the Veeam server itself to export logs from).
This will require review of the debug logs to understand the behavior more clearly, so please do open a case and share your case number here once created.
Thanks!

Re: Veeam Storage Infrastructure shows not existed snapshots
Thank you for the advice.
I have collected the logs, but there much more logs from the server than will be required into this case.
Is there any specific name / folder to reach the wanted logs?

Re: Veeam Storage Infrastructure shows not existed snapshots
Hi Konrad,
You're quite welcome for the guidance.
Regrettably, it will be a bit difficult to tell exactly which log, so I would start with just the export as prescribed above as it will ensure the Support Team has the necessary information to proceed. If it's not feasible, still make a case and explain the situation to the Veeam Support Engineer, and they can be more specific on what they hope to see.
Starting with the SANRescan folder under %Programdata%/Veeam/Backup likely will be enough to start the investigation, but please be prepared that more logs may be requested.
