Hi all,
i would like to know if a Windows Agent Backup in file mode, will result in a significant veeam sql db increment in size.
I need to backup somenthing like 200gb composed by many many files.
I read the best practice and to not create tape backup of a fileshare to not drastically increment the db size.....and would like to know if the same issue can occour with agent backup.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Veeam SQL DB Occupation
Hi Bruno
I assume you talk about our "Database Requirements" for File To Tape jobs?
File-level backups with Veeam Agents don't require additional space, aside from the job configuration and some backup metadata in the database.
Could I ask why you prefer file-level backup jobs over volume-level backups? I recommend using volume-level backup jobs if possible, as they normally provide faster recovery for entire volumes. However, if you choose to stay with file-level backups, make sure to install our CBT driver for optimized file-level backup processing.
Best,
Fabian
